Licensed Vocational Nurse / LVN
Medical City Denton

Position Summary:
The LVN, under the direct supervision of an RN, is responsible for the clinical care of patients and duties as assigned within the department.  The LVN will promote a safe and therapeutic environment for both the recipients and providers of patient care; demonstrate and validate competence in nursing practice; acquire specialized knowledge, skills and formal education to provide specialized care; perform duties within the policies, procedures and standards of this facility.
 

License/certification:

• Texas State LVN license or compact license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required by AHA or ARC; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) encouraged.

Experience Required:

• Previous medical surgical nursing experience preferred.
