Your Responsibilities
As the Science Agronomy Manager at John Deere, you will lead the global team of science agronomists to discover and/or validate agronomy-based hypothesis that will be utilized to inform product portfolio decisions and support the company's business objectives. In addition, you will:
Work collaboratively with production system managers and product families to prioritize agronomics hypothesis evaluation.
Act as the agronomic technical and thought leader when engaging with external suppliers and business partners.

What Skills You Need
10 or more years of demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience
5 or more years of product/service development or management
10 or more years of experience in the field of agricultural sciences
Must be able to develop, manage, and communicate information in a clear and organized manner, including managing stakeholder relationships
Must be able to manage team performance to achieve results and resolve conflicts
Must be capable and comfortable working in a team of teams working environment
Ability to travel up to 25%
What Makes You Stand Out
10 or more years of agronomy or equivalent experience
5 or more years of demonstrated experience connecting agronomy to product sales/development
Deep understanding of production agriculture
Experience leading and working in an Agile framework
Broad industry and academic network for agronomic trials
Advanced education, master’s degree or greater
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Agricultural Science, Business/Management, Engineering, Marketing discipline or related field.
