The Dispatcher Assistant is responsible for four key areas within the Logistics Department:
  • Assisting Dispatchers with Trucking Needs
  • Tracking the Logistics Outbound in collaboration with the Logistics Leads
  • Monitoring and leading Drivers while not on runs with Shop Tasks, Loads & Offloads, as well as assisting other teams within Operations
  • Asana updates

The Dispatcher Assistant is a leader and is looked upon to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the different projects that come through the Logistics Department. Below is a more detailed description of this work:

Assisting Dispatchers with Trucking Needs:
  • Loading / Off Loading
  • Shop space / Organization
  • Confirming loads are accurate and elements supplies are accounted for
  • Asana / Task Monitoring

Tracking, Monitoring and Updates:
  • Knowledge of the Outbound items
  • Proper knowledge of elements and when they are needed on site
  • Knowledge of how pieces are traveling and where they are loaded in the truck
  • Daily touch bases with Logistics Leads, Dispatcher, and Ops
  • Management
  • Leads Drivers in knowing and following proper Q/C protocols when it comes to
    assisting them with Logistics Leads tasks.
  • Daily Down Time Tasks & Follow-Ups for Drivers
  • Works on assigning different tasks that need to be completed when there are no driver tasks on the board. Some tasks would be similar to:
    Trucking Maintenance (Setup Trucks for the next day)
    Check Tire Pressures and gas levels - fill if needed
  • The remainder of these tasks are within the Daily Downtime Tracking Tasks in Asana

Typical Schedule: 
  • Wednesday - Sunday (9A - 6P)
  • If no crews are in on the weekends then tasks and assignments will be assigned prior to the weekend.

Requirements:
  • Standard Drivers License
  • Minimum (1) year of documented experience driving up to but not exceeding a 26’ box truck with air brakes. 

Hiring Details:
  • The interview process entails 2 rounds of interviews - 1st round is virtual, 2nd the round is in-person.
  • Vaccinations are required. Medical and Religious exemptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
