IT Digital Solutions Tech Lead

Location: Santa Clara, CA
Our client, a leader in life sciences, diagnostics and applied chemical markets, is seeking a highly motivated IT Digital Solutions Technical Lead to help build their next-generation content management solution and online user experience.
- This includes implementing and integrating CMS (e.g. AEM) solutions and providing guidance and collaborating with the technical team while working closely with other IT, suppliers, and business partners.
- This lead role drives technical decisions, reviews, and is accountable for the overall solutions while ensuring the solutions meet IT architectural best practice, performance, compliance, security, and business requirements.
In this position you will perform functional reviews, technical design review, and oversee projects implementation from start to finish.- Technical knowledge includes enterprise web content management systems with integration to external content sources, cloud-based applications, and development toolsets.
- You will work closely with IT project managers, architects, suppliers, and business partners to ensure any proposed solutions follow industry best practices.
Key accountabilities include:
Provide technical leadership in the delivery of projects small to large size
Lead and provide technical oversight for customer facing portal & supporting online applications
Drive solution design decisions and development estimates
Work closely with Architects, Product Owners and Business Partners to create applications aligned with business strategy.
Drive and address any critical development to production issues which have been escalated to the project team.
Drive and perform products/new technologies/solutions proof of concept and new product evaluation
Produce project documentation, including functional and technical designs, and KT guides.
Manage vendors’ resources and lead key technical decisions
Ability to lead and facilitate effective meetings, and presentations.
Excellent interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) and strong leadership qualities
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent plus minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including minimum 8 years in IT
5 years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager
Experience with popular CMS (e.g. AEM) integrating with these types of systems: (Product information management systems (PIMs), Translation Management System, Single Sign-On via OIDC, eCommerce Platform, Search/Insight Engine, Analytics Engines, Content Delivery Networks for optimal performance to Worldwide customers, Integration Platform As A Service (iPaaS))
Familiarity with different types of databases and AWS Products and when to use them
Strong experience in using Adobe Experience Manager as a CMS for customer facing websites
Strong understanding of common Adobe integration patterns, and general design and architecture patterns
General knowledge related to performance, reliability, scalability, security, and disaster recovery of enterprise applications
Expertise in core web technologies including REST, JSON, XML, HTML5, CSS, client/server-side-scripting languages such as NodeJS, JavaScript preferably using SPA (Single page application) and web services development using RESTful implementations.
Experience with customer facing applications and performance measures.
Must be familiar with DevOps and industry best practices
Experience with Agile SCRUM development methodology
Ability to translate requirements into detailed design and solution document
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues in development and production
Excellent interpersonal, communication and team-facilitation skills
Strong attention to detail and deadlines
Ability to work well under pressure and work on multiple projects concurrently
Ability to work well with global team members/suppliers
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
