CNC Programmer
Location: Winter Park
Hours: Mon-Thursday, 6 AM -4:30 PM
Play a lead role in creating value and increasing profitability at Manufacturing Technologies. These responsibilities will be achieved by:
As directed, Engineering and Programming jobs, Designing and Building fixtures, and Setting Up/Operating CNC machines to contribute in ways most needed by the Company
Taking "ownership for the success of assigned Engineering projects and opportunities:
- Ensuring assigned engineering, programming, and planning functions are completed properly and on time
- Working closely with Quality, assist in the preparation of Job Quality plans to ensure customer specifications are consistently met, that production or process issues are found on a timely basis and that our Operators are able to achieve established production standards
- Working closely with our CNC Machinists to ensure they are successful
- Ensuring that tooling and fixtures for new projects are identified in advance and are available when needed
- Ensuring that jobs when finished are closed out properly to provide for future improvements in setup and production
Participating in Engineering meetings to plan upcoming Projects, provide status reports, highlight issues, and assist other Engineers
Optimizing and improving the productivity/ efficiency of repeat jobs
Assisting in the preparation of customer quotes
Meet regularly with customers, especially to discuss assigned projects
Being a role model and example to ensure that company processes and procedures are followed
Understanding the company's AS9100 Rev D Quality Management System and following policies, procedures, and work instructions
Helping to train up our CNC Set-Up and Machine operators to strengthen their skills, knowledge and capabilities.
Helping to ensure work areas are safe, that safety policies and procedures and standards of good housekeeping are being followed
Helping to trouble-shoot production, process, or mechanical problems
Being a key participant in evaluating new equipment
