Business Analyst Discipline

Coordinates transitions to new vendors, new business or technical processes, new technology or significant changes to current technology. Implements changes that will affect business or technical processes with a moderate to high impact for stakeholders and will present challenges in complexity or deadlines. May perform duties in one or more of the following disciplines: Business Data Business Intelligence Security Quality User Experience Production Control

Any understanding/experience with the following is useful:

 Understanding of database concepts such as establishing primary and foreign keys and analyzing the table structure and name, column data type, constraints and relationship

 Understanding of NoSQL database concepts

• Proven experience understanding data to determine efficient and effective methods for storage and retrieval

o Mapping & Translations

 Experience in developing data flow, application and ER diagrams and technical specifications Implement tools, scripts, queries or applications for accessing and analyzing data and associated metadata.

• Mapping and documenting translation and transformation rules to get data from source format to target

 Collaborate with Architecture and Technical teams in formulation of requirements for data lineage across the other systems.

 Strong data analysis experience in data migration projects including good understanding of NoSQL (XML document database) internals, features and configurations.

 Understand Business reporting data needs (Aggregated & Hierarchical data & etc.) and support reporting team needs.

Great communicator • Experience/Ability: the data is related to IT, combining data warehouses from all areas of the business.

Within this group they do modeling like, IAA, Model, is an IBM model. Erwin, RSA etc. Physical, Logical and Conceptual models. Data migration, consolidation projects etc. This person will not need the data background

claims, policies, billing, customer, agents, business intelligence.

Future state there will be 3 Enterprise data warehouses. One supporting Accelerated product and state, one for data and digital experience one supporting insights.

From; SQL, Oracle, Mainframe to Marklogic (NoSQL), then eventually will be moved into AWS
