The Team: We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled software engineer for the Climanomics ® platform. This developer would help us to accelerate our Climate Analytics work.



The Impact: The Senior Software Engineer will work to improve and enhance the architecture, design, scalability, and performance of our cutting-edge Climanomics™ platform

Responsibilities:

Design, and implement software components for Climanomics platform.

Perform analysis and articulate solutions.

Design underlying engineering for use in multiple product offerings supporting a large volume of end-users.

Develop project plans with task breakdowns and estimates.

Manage and improve existing solutions.

Solve a variety of complex problems and figure out possible solutions, weighing the costs and benefits.

Perform other duties as assigned



What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.

5+ years’ experience in application development

Experience with the PERN stack Experience with server-side development in Node.js, Express.js, Python, Go

Experience with CSS

Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test-driven development

Experience with large datasets and ETL pipelines in cloud environments (preferably with Postgres, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB)

Experience with frontend JavaScript, in conjunction with Typescript or Flow, and modern frameworks like React, Redux

Apache Kafka distributed event streaming platform



Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity and/or enthusiasm with Data Science / Machine Learning is a plus

Experience working in cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Experience in Databricks, SnowFlake



Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $68,300 to $155,900. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
