  • The Role: The Director, Program Management is responsible for leading cross functional initiatives focusing on productivity, cycle time improvement, and sustainable cost reduction.
  • This position will have a leading role in the Continuous Improvement Center of Excellence at SunPower, consistently leading complex, cross-functional, high ROI initiatives within the operations organization on time, in scope and within budget.
  • This leader will deploy best practices in continuous improvement, change management and project management to diagnose root causes of current operational challenges and galvanize diverse stakeholder groups to drive and sustain rapid and significant gains.
  • The role will demonstrate strong financial acumen to develop sound business cases and track realized operational and financial benefits of continuous improvement projects.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Leads high-impact, highly visibility continuous improvement initiatives, with an emphasis on driving improvements across the order-to-cash value stream, including reducing overall order-to-cash lead time and variation.
  • + Able to lead and advise on multiple initiatives of varying complexity simultaneously, as needed.
  • + Supports operational leaders in the development and ongoing improvement of performance tracking and reporting.
  • + Gathers business user requirements and partners with IT teams to translate work flows into system configurations and process automation.
  • + Provides training to SunPower teams related to continuous improvement and project management best practices.
  • + Takes a leading role in promoting a culture of innovation and driving a vibrant Continuous Improvement Center of Excellence , including contributing best practice tools, templates, and techniques in continuous improvement, project management and change management.
  • Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor s degree Business, Finance, Management, Operations, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • + Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in operations, finance or supply chain as a senior program manager.
  • + Extensive experience in continuous improvement and/or program management at a company of >$100MM in annual revenue.
  • + Strong financial acumen, ability to lead projects with direct impact to the P&L. + Experience writing project proposals for executive level funding approval.
  • + Minimum of 4 years as a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent training and experience.
  • + Experience training continuous improvement and/or project management fundamentals.
  • Preferred Qualifications: + Demonstrated experience optimizing one or more business functions across the order-to-cash value stream, such as sales, contract management, liaising with regulators, product installation, quality control and customer support.
  • + Experience in the solar industry, or experience working in the technology industry.
  • + Experience in the construction industry.
  • + Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. + Management consulting experience.
  • + Project Management Institute (PMI) certified project manager.
  • + Travel required to meet with various SunPower teams across the US (approximately 50%).
