Social Worker
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Employment-focused, data driven, nonprofit organization serving court-involved individuals currently seeking a New Jersey State Licensed Social Worker. This is a full time salaried position, Monday through Friday, with a full benefits package. Some evening/weekend events may be required. NJRC operates facilities statewide, and the candidate will be expected, at times, to travel to other sites as needed to provide social work coverage in the event of another social worker’s absence.
Responsibilities:
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments on all clients
Psychotherapeutic treatment plans will be developed to address clients’ presenting problems, and in addition will aid them with reaching their reentry goals.
Psychotherapeutic counseling will be done with the clients.
Present workshops engaging topics related to mental health
Lead Case Assessment Review Team (CART) meetings as outlined in the Data Master Training Manual
Create individual Service plans (ISP) and assign case managers to all clients
Upload all pertinent client data to Salesforce and enroll all clients that completed the orientation week
Manage crisis intervention and create/request incident reports as needed
Provide ongoing case management and coordinate referrals
Perform follow up calls regularly and include face-to-face meetings when needed
Assist the case manager in transferring clients within all NJRC sites
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years professional social work experience
LSW or LCSW required
Working knowledge of criminal justice issues
Experience conducting biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and case management in a high-volume setting
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and exceptional data entry skills
A strengths-based, respectful, and trauma-informed approach to services is an absolute requirement for the position
Ability to work in an interdisciplinary client-centered team
Preferred Qualifications:
Training in Motivational Interviewing or trauma-informed care
Direct experience with court-involved citizens
Experience with program and process evaluation
Minimum Education Required:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) and current NJ State Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker in current good standing. No applicants without a NJ State license and academic degree in Social Work will be considered for this position.
