DESCRIPTION:
The Infinity Systems Engineering, Director of Innovation is responsible for leading all investment and innovation initiatives, including internal research and development (IRAD), supporting pipeline management, and overseeing all Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) initiatives. SBIR pipeline management includes opportunity identification, customer engagement, capture management, and proposal development activity.

- Work closely with the VP of Business Development and the President to develop and execute the overall corporate strategic plan
- Work collaboratively with the executive team and across the company
- Lead and collaborate with company stakeholders and external entities to acquire and develop supporting analysis for SBIR and innovation strategy development.
- Identify capability and technology gaps and opportunities
Investment and Innovation Responsibilities
- Lead the Innovation office, including personnel management, performance management, budget planning and execution, process implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the execution of all investment planning and review activities, to include opportunity updates to internal stakeholders
- Lead all external engagements with existing and potential customers invested in small business innovative research
- Identify & Develop data analysis measures for monitoring overall performance of the business development department and establish regular review cycle with the executive management team to review performance against objective measures and act on areas for improvement.
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated success with the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program
- Experience working directly with Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies
- Experience with Intel/DoD budget, investments, and acquisition processes
- Demonstrated success in significant program wins
- Demonstrated partnering and relationships with key government customers and industry partners
- Strong Oral and Written skills with an ability to use automated tools to present ideas, information, and reports
- Travel as required, up to 25% per month
DEGREE:
Bachelor's Degree required. Advanced Technical or Business Degree desired.
YEARS EXPERIENCE:
12 years of Business Development / Capture & Proposal / Strategy related experience, including 10 years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
LOCATION:
Colorado Springs, CO; Remote eligible
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
TS/SCI strongly desired, but may consider TS with SCI eligibility

SALARY RANGE:
DISCLAIMER: $185,000 - $250,000
U.S. Citizenship is required.
