Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a REMOTE Senor Linux Systems Engineer for a FULL-TIME assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Norwalk, CT.

As a Systems engineer, the solutions you design will support not only our clients' workflows, but also a massive suite of corporate systems that keep our global enterprise up and running each and every day. We rely on the latest in big data and cloud computing, among other technologies, to solve some of ours and the investment community's greatest challenges.
This position will be responsible for improving and supporting Linux servers running Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Alma) across multiple data centers and the cloud. This includes production server deployments, system maintenance, performance testing, and development of tools and utilities. You'll work closely with talented Windows, Network, and Cybersecurity engineers and developers to ensure the availability of our enterprise applications.

Responsibilities :
- Maintaining the overall stability and performance of Linux clusters
- Tool development supporting automation
- Modernizing and automating the Linux infrastructure
- Cloud migration, adoption, and deployment
- Member of 24x7 on-call rotation
Required Skills :
- 5+ years of experience with large Linux installations and system administration
- Exposure to Linux Bash & Perl
- Experience with Python and/or other programming/scripting languages
- Experience with change management frameworks
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, foreign equivalent or equivalent work experience required
Preferred Skills :
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS / Alma experience
- Experience in administering and deploying virtual instances and physical systems in a large scale
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with Apache/Tomcat and website monitoring software/services
- Experience with virtualization and containerization such as VMware, Docker, OpenStack
- Experience with automation software such as Puppet, CFEngine and / or Ansible
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with high performance clustered file systems is a +
- Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning is a +
