Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Services organization is seeking a dynamic, innovative IT desktop, executive and AV Support Technician in San Diego, California facility. This motivated individual will be responsible for desktop Extended Recurring Support and will work under general direction with minimal supervision. The statement of work will include dedicated DFARs cyber compliance support to include initial machine compliance and sustaining support.
The selected candidate provides desktop support for devices that reside outside the primary NGUSN network to include the following:
  • Provide technical support for computers.
  • Install, troubleshoot, service, upgrade and repair computers and related software.
  • Connect computers to existing networks.
  • Refresh and decommission devices outside of standard service offering.
  • Provide IT support for hoteling and hybrid work at the Rolling Meadows site.
He/she will provide Audio/Visual support for conference rooms at the San Diego site. Duties to include:
  • Providing support for live events, video conferences & executive meetings
  • Maintaining, repairing and implementing a variety of A/V hardware (monitors, projectors, cameras, mixers, switchers, microphones, wiring, etc)
The incumbent will provide surge support for the RM executive support team. The employee will be expected to resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently with tact and diplomacy.
Executive support responsibilities to include the following:
  • Diagnosing and repairing IT software issues and problems, to include MS-Outlook, MS TEAMS, and Zoom conferencing.
  • Perform administrative and operational support for executive home offices, desktops, mobile phones, tablets, multimedia/VTC devices, as well as other executive travel IT equipment
  • Participating as part of a team in activities such as voice and data moves/adds/changes
  • Responsible for set up and maintenance of conference room environments and various A/V equipment
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of IT experience OR; an Associates degree with 4 years of IT experience OR; a High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of IT experience is required
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of PC Desktop or Helpdesk Technical Support experience, supporting large (500+) user populations
  • Working knowledge of Audio/Visual hardware
  • Working knowledge of unified communications software (Zoom, Teams, Webex, etc)
  • Working knowledge of current PC connections, basic networking knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Windows 10, M365, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Experience with hardware components such as graphics cards, hard drives, memory, power supplies and motherboards is required
  • Experienced using IT ticketing and IT Service Management applications (such as ServiceNow) for Incident and Service Request tracking
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must have experience in support of corporate executives, senior leadership, or other high level decision makers
  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a DOD Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with and knowledge of Crestron/AMX AV control systems
  • Experience with webcast streaming, video cameras, monitors, digital recorders, and digital signage systems
  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Information Systems and 6 years of experience providing IT support to Executive level leadership
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor, to include superb verbal communication, possess a reputation of good team work, and customer service skills
  • Ability to navigate stressful situations with tact and poise
  • CompTia A+ or CompTIA Security + or Network+ certification would be nice to have
  • Proficiency in remote administration and troubleshooting of desktop PCs highly desirable
  • Experience supporting VMware VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)
  • Experience supporting Win10 and Bitlocker in a corporate environment
  • HP and Dell Warranty Support Certification extremely helpful
Salary Range: $64,900 USD - $108,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
