JOB SUMMARY

• The Sr Mechanical Engineer provides leadership, engineering design and construction administrative services for large projects. The Sr Mechanical Engineer will utilize REVIT to design and oversee the design of complex mechanical systems for a variety of structures and must have extensive knowledge and experience using REVIT on design projects.In addition, the Sr Mechanical Engineer will mentor less experienced engineers.
• The Sr Mechanical Engineer will also perform business development with both new and established clients for engineering design, commissioning, assessment and sustainable certification services.
• This position is located in the San Francisco area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares mechanical designs and perform calculations in support of large projects both renovation and new construction in a variety of sectors including Corporate, Healthcare, Data Centers, Mission Critical, Justice, Government, Higher Ed and Light Manufacturing - to name a few.
• Business Development efforts for both internal, CBRE clients and external, non-CBRE clients.
• Creates conceptual/feasibility reports, cost estimations, detailed design drawings, and mechanical evaluations.
• Leads projects and design tasks.
• Manage and mentors junior and entry level engineers and staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

Manages 3rd party project delivery resources/team. Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating team members

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from College or University in a technical area of study. Minimum 8 years of related experience and/or training. 12 years experience preferred Experience with Revit is required. An additional requirement for this role is the ability to comply with COVID-19 health and safety protocols, including COVID-19 vaccination proof and/or rigorous testing.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Professional Engineering license is required LEED AP BD C preferred.
