How You’ll Make an Impact
In this position, you will work as part of a team of scientists to support advanced R&D projects by conducting various thermal, electrical and tribology tests and data analysis and report, as well as maintaining test instruments. In the role, you would be responsible for:
- Planning and setting up lab experiments, collecting or preparing samples and runring tests
- Maintaining equipment by following operating instructions, performing routine maintenance and calibration, working with equipment supplier on troubleshooting and repair
- Analyzing and documenting test results to lab management system
- Writing test reports and summaries using MS Office to support R&D projects
- Following lab safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion
What You’ll Need
BS/BE Degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
Working experience in mechanical or chemical lab testing and instrument maintenance is desirable
Strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and its data analysis and reporting tools
Ability to lift 20 pounds
