Summary:



Reporting to the Vice President of Production, you will assemble, train, and lead a procurement and execution team of direct mail experts in a highly complex, customer-focused, deadline-driven environment. This role ensures that the company's direct marketing clients and suppliers are led and managed proactively, ensuring we exceed our clients' expectations while the value proposition of Production Solutions is reliably delivered.



This position requires the experience and skillsets to inspire and motivate others to perform at their best and an ability to identify strategic and technical initiatives that need focus and reprioritization based on the business goals and demands.





Primary Responsibilities





    Ensure consistent delivery of our company's value proposition for our clients in direct mail production by providing leadership, coaching, skill training, and professional development to direct reports. You will be responsible for up to twelve team members, comprising Associate Directors, Senior Account Managers, Account Managers, Junior Account Managers, and Account Coordinators.

    Manage team capacity and work with Business Development, Resource, and Accounting departments to grow existing and add additional clients.

    Proactively seek new methods and initiatives to increase profitability & improve the quality of service and products, to meet or exceed client expectations and the company P&L goals.

    Ensure high engagement and proper staff utilization through a growth mindset, frequent positive/constructive feedback, and appropriate training for all skill levels. Work with Human Resources to interview, hire, oversee training, conduct performance reviews, and performance management for direct reports.

    Attend client or supplier meetings and provide guidance when reviewing project milestones and progress, current/projected costs, recommended changes for efficiencies, risks, etc.

    Ensure that the account team provides value to our clients by consistently managing budgets and on-time delivery.

    Accurately forecast and manage monthly and annual client revenue and adjust as needed.

    Ensure adherence to all compliance and regulatory standards and PS Quality Control processes and procedures.

    When issues arise, provide timely and thorough communication to team members, VPP, COO, Managers, Directors, clients, and suppliers about resolution plans, costs, and timelines.




Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



    Foster a culture of excellence by modeling the company's leadership principles and ensuring continuous growth using best practices, testing new approaches, and leveraging industry experience.

    Assist Business Development and Resource Department with marketing new products or services and innovative solutions.

    Attend industry and client events as a company representative.

    Participate in internal and external workshops, seminars, and/or coursework in leadership development, management skill development, fundraising, and direct response and/or marketing to ensure the highest management and industry knowledge level.

    Periodically chair all-staff production meetings and participate in committees working on strategic initiatives to ensure the company is profitable, sustainable, and relevant.




Qualifications and Skills



    Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred (business administration, communications, graphic arts, print management); managing a customer service team and or experience training and developing others is required; minimum of 10 years' prior client-based expertise in direct mail/production management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Minimum of 6 years' prior experience managing direct reports of teams of 8 people or more.

    Communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal departments with high integrity and professionalism in a supportive, respectful manner.

    Entrepreneurial-minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed.

    Experience excelling within fast-paced, high-energy environments.

    Superior customer/client service skills focused on tact, diplomacy, and rapport building.

    Strong attention to detail with superior organizational skills.

    Strong people skills, managing direct reports in a team environment while fostering positive and collaborative work habits.

    Excellent project planning and problem-solving skills; ability to set milestones and administer action plans.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences – either staff or client.
