Job Title: Senior Cloud Architect Location - REMOTE Salary - $$ open, we want to make you happy...! Job Summary This position reports to the Development Executive responsible for overall architecture across Merge development and works with a team of architects responsible for Medical Imaging and Clinical workflow. This position is responsible for developing the organization's cloud operating strategy by staying current with cloud vendors, Cloud Native Computing Foundation guidance, and designing optimal patterns for our business. This role is a mix of furthering existing cloud solutions and driving adoption strategies for other product offerings within Merge. Essential Job Duties: Best Practices: · Develop patterns cost-effect cloud utilization, with a focus on serverless implementations. · Develop prototype designs for new opportunities. · Review and guide a wide variety of software development teams in cloud · Be an expert in developing Cloud Solutions · Lead the design, Architecture and development of various cloud components that are building blocks for AI offerings · Implement scalable technology solution in Java , Python or Go, and provide guidance on .NET · Keep up with cloud native industry trends and develop proof of concepts needed for technology transformations · Mentor and train team members on technology Basic Qualifications (minimum requirements needed to perform this job) Best Practices: · 5 plus years hands-on experience Architecting Cloud solutions · 3 plus years of full-stack development experience with Java · 3 plus years of experience developing RESTful web services · 3 plus years of hands-on experience developing micro services targeting Kubernetes with stringent security, reliability and performance requirements · Expertise in Azure deployment topologies , scaling , performance and sizing · Good understanding of hardware, operating system, virtualization platforms and middleware components frequently used for cloud deployments · Understanding and experience in DevOps and CI/CD · Ability to rapidly come up to speed on a complex server environments Preferred Skills Best Practices: · Azure certification · Experience working with medical imaging, medical devices, common healthcare information protocols and standards such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, XDS · Experience working in healthcare technology environment handling sensitive data protected by HIPAA Education and Certification Requirements · Bachelor's degree ( or proven industry experience ) · Candidates with Azure certification preferred Work Environment · Office/Work Environment Specifics: Hybrid office model · Travel requirements: 10% periodic travel to other offices for training
