Principal Cloud Architect

Siemens Digital Industries Software is a world leader in PLM Software with applications supporting different industries. We are seeking a leader to accelerate the move to cloud for our engineering applications.

Come join a diverse technology and innovation team focused on driving portfolio architecture strategy in Siemens Digital Industries Software. You will be the leader on a team developing and driving a multi cloud SaaS strategy. You will learn and grow from both a technical and a domain knowledge working with the broad portfolio of products.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing strategy, architecture patterns, services and templates to support multiple cloud and on prem deployment with emphasis on maximizing portability and reuse across cloud provider
• Responsible for defining documentation requirements and approval processes
• Develop cloud architecture governance process and team (Architecture and design patterns, guidelines, policies, architecture checklists)

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 5+ years working on developing software for multiple clouds
• Demonstrated experience in maximizing portability and reuse across cloud providers
• Demonstrated experience analyzing and architecting multi-cloud tradeoff decisions balancing security, performance, scalability, and reliability
• Demonstrated experience with SaaS products for both new and existing applications
• Demonstrated experience in architecting solutions
• Leadership skills working across teams
• Ability to lead team of architects
• Excellent communication and persuasion skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics is preferred
• Experience working with enterprise, engineering, and PLM Applications
• Experience with transforming or evolving desktop solutions to cloud solutions
