Lead Front-End Developer - Remote

Do you have a strong balance of UI coding, design skills, and technical expertise? We provide automated production capabilities free of charge to schools which allows them to live-stream via artificial intelligence and automation thus avoiding the need for production personnel. We are focused on expanding products and services and growth in our ecosystem.

Your role would be to

• Transform high level business requirements and UX designs into technical specifications for user-friendly applications across mobile and web.
• Code and perform unit and integration testing of web front-ends as well as IOS applications to ensure proper and efficient performance and adherence to business requirements, technical requirements, and design specifications.
• Collaborate with internal customers, technical, and architecture teams to solve complex web development problems.
• Influence system design by identifying and recommending design/requirement improvements for front-end enhancements.
• Serve as the final escalation point to quickly resolve front-end related incidents and problems for production applications supported by the team.
• Follow established configuration/change control processes.
• Plan and conduct research to implement latest web technologies in order to produce high quality web sites and applications.
  

Your experience includes

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or related field
• Experience working as a React.js and React Native Developer.
• REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
• A thorough understanding of React & React Native best practices and ability to work through new and difficult issues
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and HTML5
• Experience with native iOS development including work with UIKit, and PassKit in Swift and X-code framework
• Attention to quality through unit tests, automation scripts, and code reviews
• Knowledge of agile software development processes and methodologies
• Experience building responsive web apps that communicate with RESTful APIs
• Experience with CSS and CSS preprocessors, such as SASS or LESS, and front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation
• Experience using modern JavaScript tools such as NPM, Webpack, Gulp, Karma, Jasmine, Babel
• Preferred familiarity with Postgres SQL and database architecture
• Preferred familiarity with cloud provider technologies (Azure, AWS, etc)
• Preferred familiarity with progressive web application (PWA) standards and methodologies
• Preferred iOS experience on apps using PassKit, Apple Wallet & ApplePay functionality
