Freelance Art Director

ABOUT US
Production Club is a multidisciplinary team of badasses inventing, designing and producing music-based parties, shows, and experiences worldwide.

SUMMARY
We are seeking a freelance Art Director x Graphic Designer to work on a highly theme-driven LA-based event. This position is to start immediately for approximately two months. As the graphic design lead, you’ll work on art direction development, the event flyer, email newsletter, RSVP site, large-scale environmental graphics and print/digital event signage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports Creative Director and team with creative processes including concept ideation, art direction, graphic explorations & production file development


• Partners with Experiential Design Lead to develop a cohesive spatial and visual experience


• Applies art assets to design deliverables; prepares files for vendors


• Upholds an organized file naming convention and folder structure


• Builds creative presentation
  
  

SKILLS

• Proficient with the up-to-date versions of Adobe applications (Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign)


• Understands and uses efficient workflows between Adobe applications (ie. Smart Objects, Linking, etc)


• Works equally well independently and in group design work sessions


• Detail attentive (down to the pixel) while also envisioning the big picture


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
  

MUST-HAVES

• Previous experience as an environmental graphic designer (freelance and/or in-house)


• Working graphic design experience in parties, live events, music, entertainment (specifically print/signage)


• Knowledge of web & print industry standards
  
  

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Non-corporate event experience


• Professional / personal experience in creative fields outside graphic design


• General knowledge of cultural trends across music, fashion, technology, and entertainment
