Job Highlights

• This position is part of our Flavors & Fragrances Business Unit
• Coordinate and maintain multi-level and multi-functional inter-company relationships with accounts, as well as internal teams
• Meet or exceed annual goals within the account base and maximize sales result by strategically optimizing customer mix, regional spread and segmenting according to end markets
• As required document customer call reports, distributor reviews, industry information, and development opportunities
• Leverage experience, detailed knowledge of product line technology, and understanding competitive environment / industry structure. Continuously provide meaningful information, insight and analysis to marketing and pricing teams
• Utilize market segmentation and unique value proposition of LANXESS products to extract optimal value for our offering
• Investigate and identify growth opportunities for new and existing products and customers as requested by the marketing team and in line with business unit goals

Requirements

• Technical or Business bachelor s degree or equivalent experience required. Business Administration or Chemistry preferred
• Experience in ingredients for the Consumer Markets (strong preference for experience selling aroma chemicals and/or other personal and home care products).
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
• At least 10 years of sales experience in the chemical industry
• Self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment
• Identify market issues and evaluate competitive environment
• Develop key contacts with customers to build relationships
• Chemical/technical knowledge/affinity
• Ability to travel up to 50%
