GDIT is seeking an Oracle Senior Business Analyst to join our team supporting the U.S. Department of Energys (DOE 's) Office of Corporate Information Systems Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Support Services of their Corporate Business Systems (CBSOM).

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision
  • Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements
  • Gathers and documents requirements for the development of an interface to allow program offices to upload data, including data validation rules
  • Research, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes
  • Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTMs)
  • Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team
  • Develops and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted
  • Perform QA testing of new features to ensure that requirements are met, and the resulting user experience is as intended
  • Participate in and support user acceptance testing and the deployment of the solution to production
  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team
  • Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary
  • Develops any required communications packages.
  • Identifies and defines new process improvement opportunities to ensure the data quality in reporting.
  • Identifies and documents project risks.
  • Possess excellent English written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare and conduct presentations and prepare training material as required
WHAT YOULL NEED:
  • Bachelors degree in Comp. Sci., Bus. Admin, Mgt, Accounting or other related discipline with 8 years of increasingly responsible and relevant experience. Without a degree 9-11 years of relevant experience is required. Experience needs to be in consulting on Oracle or Tableau applications, with managing Oracle and Tableau implementations.
  • Leads process modeling and translates requirements into design
  • Offers advice on process improvements and technical solutions
  • Applies broad knowledge to Identify and resolve core problems
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities at any given time
  • Demonstrated ability to work with system owners, business owners, technical teams, and functional teams to design, implement, test, and validate a system
  • Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments
  • In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement of business processes and technical operations
  • Good team player, able to manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing client needs
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders
  • Preferred qualifications (optional)
  • Functional or technical experience with federal Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS)
  • Previous Department of Energy experience
  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification
  • Experience with ServiceNow for incident management, problem management, and service request management
  • Oracle Application Express, OBIEE and Tableau certifications
