Requirements If homebound, must reside in one of the following states: Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri or Oklahoma. Minimum one to three years' experience with coding, billing and reimbursement activities or currently enrolled an accredited AHIMA program or Freeman approved coding educational program. Examples include but are not limited to (HIM) Health Information Management programs such as RHIA, RHIT or AHIMA online coding education resulting in successful CCS certification. Obtain CCS certification by American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) within one year of successfully gaining 95% accuracy of all service lines. Previous experience regularly working with medical terminology.
