ALTA IT has a Contract to Hire position open for a Back End / Full Stack Developer for a position in San Diego, CA.
Our client is looking for a Back-End / Full Stack Software Developer to support and create custom Python-based applications for the US Government.
These applications are used by the Security Operations Center and other analysts to enhance the security of the network.
Backend includes SQLAlchemy, Flask, Celery using Python and talks to PostgreSQL. Development occurs using an Agile methodology with two-week sprints.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to :
MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET or INTERIM SECRET
- Test First Development
- Coding primarily in Python
- API Design
- Some coding in Cloud Products, mostly Azure
- Integration with third party products
- Maintenance of PostgreSQL databases supporting applications
- Developing feature enhancements and addressing bugs for several different applications
- Converting legacy code to modern methods allowing for ease of code re-use and development
Certifications (IAT Level II)
One of the following (or a certification from a higher IAT level) :
- Cisco Certified Network Associate - Security (CCNA Security)
- CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CompTIA CySA+ CE)
- GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GIAC GICSP)
- CompTIA Security+ CE
- GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
- EC-Council Certified Network Defender (EC-Council CND)
- GIAC System Security Certified Practitioner (GIAC SSCP)
Required Skills
3+ years of experience coding software
Desired Skills
- Experience with Agile Methodologies
