Your Role:

Tenable is looking for a Director of Digital Marketing to take Tenable’s digital marketing strategy and program execution to the next level. This person is a data-driven marketer who understands how to build and execute awareness and demand generation programs across a variety of digital channels including paid search, paid social, display, re-targeting, content marketing, digital campaign performance, and digital conversion success to support Tenable’s continued growth. This is a global role marketing to everything from e-commerce, small and mid-sized businesses, and large enterprises in small and mid-sized businesses to large enterprises in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.

The ideal candidate will be well versed in modern digital marketing technologies and methods, obsessive about measuring results, and proven in their ability to balance building strategic plans and rolling up their sleeves to get work done. This leader will constantly be thinking about the intersection between customer needs and our solutions to create programs that engage prospects and guide them down the right buyer journey. Reporting to the VP, Demand Generation, this role will lead a team of talented digital marketers as well as partner closely with campaign marketing, regional marketing, product marketing and other marketing professionals to contribute to the pipeline/revenue growth and awareness efforts.

Your Opportunity:

  • Strategize, plan, execute, manage, and optimize end-to-end digital marketing programs globally
  • Assess buyer insights and identify customer needs that inform the development and prioritization of digital programs, ABM, and content marketing opportunities
  • Oversee the agency’s execution of account-based digital marketing, point-in-time digital campaigns and always-on programs to drive quality traffic to landing pages and the website resulting in high-value conversions
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Development to build programs that support our pipeline and revenue targets globally.
  • Drive an integrated SEM strategy, operating model, and delivery plans that delivers scalable global presence based on customer and business needs, inclusive of campaign and keyword strategy, content and landing page optimization, bidding strategies, linking strategies, etc.
  • Work with field marketing teams across the globe to tailor digital activities to fit regional languages, culture, and behaviors
  • Own the return-on-investment targets for all digital channels, including: paid search, retargeting and display channels, and progressive platforms
  • Lead digital content review and recommendations to improve conversions
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to streamline, automate and measure all digital marketing programs.
  • Manage the continuous optimization of digital marketing performance leveraging data analytics and A/B performance testing.
  • Be an inspirational leader of the Digital Marketing team including hiring, developing, managing, coaching, and advocating for this team
  • Be a collaborative member of the demand generation leadership team, interweaving digital marketing into the organization’s cross-functional planning workflows

What You’ll Need:

  • 7+ years of people management experience with at least 10 years of experience in digital marketing, digital demand generation, and/or marketing operations role within a software company.
  • Expertise in performance analytics, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization
  • Hands-on experience with key pieces of the marketing technology stack, including Google Analytics, Marketo and Salesforce.com. Experience with Demandbase and/or Bombora is a plus
  • Experience managing the execution of programs through digital agency partners
  • Experience leading a team of marketers and working closely with cross-functional teams to generate leads, pipeline and revenue
  • Proven capability to develop talent
  • Understands how to cut above the noise in a crowded security market
  • Strong project management, budget management, and communications skills
  • Experience managing relationships in a remote environment
  • BA/BS preferred, marketing concentration ideal
  • Travel less than 10%
