UPS Global Customer Solutions Intern 2023
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The UPS Global Customer Solutions group is seeking passionate, ambitious undergraduate and/or graduate students who are excited to learn new skills and are not afraid to tackle complex projects. Global Customer Solutions works closely with UPS customers to meet their supply chain needs. This internship program provides an excellent learning environment with access to senior leaders and mentors to support the intern journey.
Interns will have a project from our Solutions Design and Implementation Group (SolDI) providing an opportunity to use problem solving skills to evaluate our customers' supply chain and provide innovative solutions to help support their business goals. Additionally, interns will work with the Solutions Engagement Group to develop consultative sales skills to round out the "real world" experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Complete SolDI project, starting with developing a project plan, to identifying tasks and milestones, and implementing big ideas
- Learn the sales process and shadow/assist with client presentations and discovery calls
- Assist with revenue generation through consultative sales activities
- Assist with identifying customers' business needs and aligning solutions accordingly
- Assist Solutions Engagement Resource with correctly aligning internal resources and managing project expectations and timelines
- Assist with formulating and developing sales proposals
- Assist with building customer acknowledged Return on Investment and Value Propositions
- Presents analysis, insights, and deliverables to senior staff at the end of the internship, communicating the impact of the project outcome to UPS

- Demonstrates leadership attributes within classroom, projects, volunteering
- Possesses ability to demonstrate sales and solutions acumen to UPS customers
- Understands and applies supply chain concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management
- Ability to multitask and work with cross functional teams
- Business Management, Finance, Logistics, Marketing, Sales, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, International Business, Sales, or Information Systems majors - Preferred
