We're looking for an amazing Finance professional to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle office. This role is responsible for the Entertainment department's accounting and accruals, budget monitoring, and supplier relations and maintenance. They are the primary point-of-contact for specialized support and tasks required of the business unit by Group services (Fleet Compensation, Supply Chain & Purchasing, Logistics, Finance) and shipboard teams as they relate to Entertainment's financial commitments and transactions. They handle billing and accruals for all Entertainment procurement not requiring involvement from Supply Chain and ensure company policies related to department spend are maintained and documented as necessary. They monitor Entertainment accounts and financial data to understand trends and variances and identify areas for focus and increased efficiency. They support the Dir., Entertainment Operations with separation of duties in all price negotiations and payment workflows, collaborate with production budgets, capital requests, project management, and in the department's aim for increasing efficiency and automation in all operational processes.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze Entertainment contracts and expenditures across all areas of spent to ensure correct billing and accrual policies practices are maintained and documented.
  • Confirm approvals and price verifications per Supply Chain and Finance procurement and expenditure policies.
  • Manage Entertainment's chart of accounts and monitor budgets and spend to improve forecasting and cost allocation.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to complete setups and updates within established Company procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for improved efficiency by analysing department trends and variances.
  • Coordinate multiple projects at once, tracking spending and purchase order processing.
  • Collaborating with indirect sourcing and purchasing teams to setup and contract new goods/services for shipboard procurement.
  • Liaise with and guide shipboard teams and port operators for department accounting and cash disbursements.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external partners/vendors to provide timely updates and solutions regarding business and payment matters.
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Business/Finance or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in similar role(s).
  • Some experience working with accounts payable, budgeting, contract administration, and/or indirect purchasing.
  • Contextual knowledge of Entertainment production and expenditures.
  • Oracle platforms
  • Microsoft Excel and O365 Suite
  • Fast learner, adaptable, problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple disciplines and projects at once
  • Experienced with complex, fast-paced subject matter
  • Skilled communicator with polished business writing abilities.
  • Entertainment-related background and knowledge
  • Cruise-industry, preferably in Entertainment/Guest Experience
  • Finance/Accounting knowledge and experience.
  • General knowledge and familiarity of GAAP and principles of accounting.
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Self-starter
  • Very organized and detail-oriented
