Within an innovative High Tech - Electronics company, there's currently a permanent position open for an experienced Senior Accountant in the San Jose, California area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
- Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
- Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
- Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
- Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
- Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
- Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
- Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Requirements
- Self-starter and strong ethical standards
- Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Prior work done in public accounting is desired
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
- 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
- Great attention to detail
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
- Skilled with ERP systems
- Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
