CoreFX Ingredients is a US-based manufacturer which specializes in developing innovative customer-centric ingredients which satisfy taste and well-being, where convenience is a premium. Our manufacturing facility is located in Orangeville, IL. Our Innovation Center is located in Evanston, IL.


JOB PURPOSE: The primary function of this role is to accelerate the growth of sales in the B2B taste market space both strategically and efficiently with a focus on supporting brands and co-manufacturers for brands. This position will prospect for new business in a variety of taste and functional ingredients while supporting CoreFX Ingredients current sales volumes with existing markets and customers.


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Strategic planning, sales planning, collaborating with others:



  • Experience and knowledge of taste markets, related but not limited to snacks, prepared meals and side dishes, soups/sauces, fucntional foods and medical foods

  • Directly representing CoreFX Ingredients to current and prospective customers, effectively visiting these customers on a monthly or quarterly basis as needed via customer visits, trade shows, CoreFX Ingredients plant visits, phone calls, and e-mails.

  • Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders

  • Collaboration with executive team to set revenue goals and company strategies

  • Understand competitive landscape and market trends

  • Convey technical messages that leverage CoreFX Ingredient s unique capabilities and satisfy customer needs.

  • Prospect for and uncover new sales opportunities that align with CoreFX Ingredients capabilities.

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and development of annual sales quotas; projecting expected sales volumes and profits.

  • Develop a strong project pipeline for near, mid-term, and long-term sales potential with key accounts and prospects.

  • Execute a sales strategy that promotes a balanced product mix and healthy margin management.

  • Completes required reports and forms, (i.e. weekly summaries, customer call reports, pipeline reports, sample requests, pricing requests, expense reports), accurately and in timely fashion.

  • Interface with marketing to generate leads, create market driven data, support trade shows.

  • Professionally represent CoreFX Ingredients at various industry and customer functions, generating leads.

  • Support positive relationships with internal company business leaders to ensure open communication between sales, engineering, quality, and customers to ensure effectiveness.

  • Interface with customers, customer service and operations to ensure that goals are met, and customers receive the best service possible.

  • Stay current with company developments and product launches.

  • Desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture.

  • Ability to travel up to 75% (customer visits, trade shows, CoreFX Ingredients plant visits)

  • QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



  • 4+ years experience within Sales and Account Management - preferably within a variety of taste and functional ingredients channels

  • Bachelor s degree preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with all audience types

  • Works well within a team and individually

  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products
