The Role:

Responsible for Tektronix’s Americas revenue, the VP of Americas Sales will develop and deploy a winning commercial strategy, grow existing accounts, and win market share. A highly visible and impactful leader accelerating the sales and customer growth, you will lead, coach and motivate sales professionals to drive new business, tap into growing market segments, deepen customer relationships and strengthen partnerships with key influencers. Having played a meaningful role in developing and executing our growth strategy, we see this individual as having significant upside for future leadership roles at Tektronix and across Fortive.



 



Location:

Remote, with 50%+ travel expected


 



Team:



8 direct reports with a total organization of 130. 

 



Responsibilities:



Drive Performance




  • Work with leadership team to develop and cascade business objects throughout the sales organizatio

  • Lead the sales team to delivery on financial performance expectations and act as a key advisor to the executive team on a broad range of sales, marketing, and operational issues impacting sales. 

  • Lead cultivation and relationship building with key partners and customers.



Scale Processes & Capabilities




  • Implement a metrics-driven approach that aligns with our FBS culture, using sophisticated analytical capabilities to provide transparency into performance and trends. 

  • Provide leadership to and champion the customer support COE and commercial operations team.

  • Hire, retain and motivate exceptional sales professionals. Leave behind a rich talent legacy.

  • Provide dynamic and progressive leadership to the global sales organization. Create a followership that reaches all employees.



Strategy Development




  • Optimize sales function to create appropriate go to market strategies in high growth (organic and M&A) environment.

  • Share customer / market feedback to the leadership and product teams to further enhance our offerings and drive share gains.

  • Participate in assessments for strategic growth options including M&A.



 


Qualifications:




 


You are an experienced sales leader who has a proven track record leading large enterprise teams at high growth B2B technology companies. You are passionate about the sales process, inspiring a team to exceptional results, and identifying solutions that solve customers' most critical problems that allow us to achieve our goals to transform the facilities management space.




  • 10+ years of progressive experience with a minimum of 5 years spent leading complex sales organizations.



  • Exceptional competitive and commercial drive, and ability to use sales and marketing levers to create and execute on strategies to win in a competitive marketplace.



  • Strong track record of scaling revenue, headcount and profitability in a highly-technical businesses, namely solution/application experience, and success driving the transformation to a solution/application focus.



  • Ability to attract, retain, engage, upskill, coach, develop and mentor existing and new employees with a strong focus on Inclusion & Diversity.



  • Demonstrated sales operations experiences as a process and metrics driven sales leader, emphasizing funnel development and management, and  ongoing measurement.



  • Skilled expert in account strategy, account planning, relationship strategy.



  • Proven track record of developing and closing business and meeting sales objectives.



  • An ability to lead and create followership through transformation; a change agent who can create a vision and plan and create stakeholder engagement.
