Position Responsibilities:
Processes medical account claims of any type for multiple welfare plans according to established rules and guidelines.
Coordinates claims with Medicare and other group insurance carriers.
Maintains a working knowledge of medical terminology to interpret medical reports and bills to properly adjudicate claims. Keeps abreast of new medical procedures and terminology.
Determines proper payees for benefits in order to discharge Company’s liabilities.
Maintains compliance with applicable federal and state laws (e.g., HIPAA) related to privacy, security, confidentiality, and protection of personal information, including, but not limited to, personal health information and personally identifiable information.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma OR equivalent
Working knowledge with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
Facet Experience is must
