Managing Director – North America

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Reporting to the Head of Sales, North America, you will be responsible to lead and develop the go-to-market strategy for your respective target list to secure new clients and build the Alter Domus franchise in North America across our Data and Analytics segment.
  • You will identify and maintain key target client plans and build a potential pipeline of target clients in partnership with the Relationship Management teams.
  • You will be accountable for ensuring we remain alert to competitor trends and analysis in partnership with colleagues in Marketing.
  • You will provide leadership and actively participate in sales and contracting activities with key clients
    • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations
    • RFPs and Service Level Agreements
    • Negotiate pricing
    • Marketing and cross-sell of Alter Domus products and services
  • You will also partner with local / regional service delivery leaders to help drive and improve industry specialisation in our service delivery teams.
  • You will collaborate with regional service delivery and account management teams to ensure business opportunities are fully assessed and in accordance with Alter Domus policies and procedures.
  • You will take the lead on understanding the latest client trends, and how Alter Domus can best differentiate itself – whether that is via extending the Alter Domus’ traditional products into other jurisdictions or developing new products in this area that will help the Alter Domus access new clients.
  • As a senior leader, you will promote and build the Alter Domus brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as a role model to our people, clients and customers.
  • You will travel as required and attend conferences, external events, and meetings.

EXPERIENCEPERIENCE

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working within a sales environment complemented by measurable sales success targeting the alternative investment marketplace.
  • Excellent experience and a proven track record in alternative investments.
  • Strong commercial skills to identify, target and build client pipelines with the credibility to open doors across the sector.
  • Superior business insight and commercial acumen, you will have a strong ability to engage senior business heads to drive effective sales strategies and you will quickly be able to identify opportunities for value creation at all levels.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and influencing capabilities in a global and complex matrix organisation.
  • Evidence of proven leadership skills - building, leading and developing high performing teams to deliver outstanding results.
