Job Summary

The Director of Supply Chain will partner will all respected business units to establish a strategic course for growth and execute with excellence. In this position you will be responsible for the development of supply chain policies, procedures, and practices that meet service and quality standards while managing costs appropriately.

This is a full-time position and requires daily attendance at the company s Plano, Texas headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of supply chain managers, coordinators, and specialists who are responsible for planning and executing supply chain activities
  • Oversee all shipping methods such as air freight, trucking, rail, or marine transport
  • Source, evaluate, and develop suppliers based on price, quality, delivery time, and customer service
  • Manage activities related to strategic and tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, controlling inventory, warehousing, or receiving
  • Oversee all warehouse and inventory activity, to include determining appropriate equipment and staffing levels to load, unload, move, store, and manage inventory
  • Create annual budgets and long-term strategic plans, including capital expenditures and labor needs
  • Review reports regarding inventory levels and pricing strategies to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Monitor all aspects of the supply chain to ensure that goals are being met
  • Establish partnerships with suppliers and other business partners to develop new products or improve existing products
  • Implement new technologies to improve efficiency in the supply chain process
  • Collaborate with appropriate internal departments to create Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning forecasts
  • Develop and maintain supply chain processes across the organization with a focus on continuous improvement of the flow and movement of materials and supplies
  • Create and implement best in class supply chain operations, sourcing and procurement processes, optimizing efficiency by utilizing KPI-driven performance metrics
  • Establish best practices for supply base, material flow, and inventory management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry peers and experts as well as throughout the organization

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Management, or related field required, Master s degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Planning (tools & processes)
  • Strong cross functional collaboration skills, and the ability to develop strong relationships with team and others in the organization to gain support and achieve results
  • Functional experience with proven success of implementing process improvements in logistics, inventory control, strategic sourcing, and production/demand planning
  • Experience that balances resourcefulness with the needs to scale and build a program for a growing organization to meet future business needs
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and programs simultaneously and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Competent people leader who manages, mentors, and develops direct reports while earning their respect

Benefits and General Information

  • Salary based compensation Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000
