We currently have an opening for a Technical Release Manager Consulting

The Technical Release Manager defines processes, standards, and tools to ensure efficiency and repeatability of software build, release, deployment, and site maintenance. You are an experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of Oracle platform products (middleware, database, access), industry best practices, and multiple business processes and technology designs within the Oracle product/technology family.

You will work directly with our clients core business teams to ensure focus on business case objectives, leveraging best practice processes across the solution set, and scope management.

Technical Release Managers work with multiple teams across the client and internal Oracle organizations to help drive the release of Oracle Energy and Water applications. You will plan and track work, identify risks and open issues, and provide communication for the project.

You will be responsible for scheduling and executing Oracle Energy and Water applications release and bug fixes deployment on development, test and production environments, as per the schedule agreed with our customers.

You will document process changes and develop relationships that lead to efficient problem solving. Having the ability to track multiple release activities simultaneously will be key.

You will work with project managers to drive and enable a consistent release management methodology within Oracle organization.

Required qualifications include:
  • Possess B.S. or B.A. degree in either Management Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, STEM subject, or equivalent.
  • +8 years overall relevant experience including at least 5 years in consulting
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Advanced knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Working experience in an ITIL-based work environment
  • Experience facilitating workshops, guiding the client to a recommended solution, and owning the delivery of solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients
  • Good understanding of business processes and Business Process Modeling experience
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills are required heavy client facing role
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio)
  • Ability to travel to client locations as needed (up to 50%) will work remotely when not required to be on site
  • Oracle Energy and Water Software products (CC&B, MDM, CSS, etc.), Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) or Utilities domain / vertical experience (gas, water, electric) are highly desired but not required
Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Technical Release Manager include, but are not limited to:
  • Mentor and develop industry experience, application skills, and consulting expertise amongst the delivery consulting team
  • Contribute to reusable collateral/accelerators
  • Help evangelize best practice and consistent release process
  • Help ensure Regulatory & Compliance readiness and product quality
  • Enhance and evolve business development and delivery tools/collateral, including methodology and estimating models
  • Knowledge sharing across peer group, including operational training
  • Active support to Business Development
Project engagements
  • Apply professional mastery and industry-wide understanding of technology, Oracle Energy and Water Solutions, tools, and methodologies to provide complex solution delivery on active engagements
  • Provide release management support for application, operational, infrastructure and configuration deployments
  • Establish and facilitate tools to reduce human errors during packages installation process, reduce resource effort, be more industrial on recurrent tasks.
  • Create and manage change tickets, run books, rollout plans and perform collision/impact analysis for releases
  • Submission of release documents and plans
  • Participate in Change Advisory Board meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
  • Management of risks, issues, and dependencies for the release
  • Participate in post release reviews
  • Act as coordinator for the local and offshore teams globally
  • Uphold compliance with change management processes and policies
  • Manage multiple planned releases and unplanned hotfixes
  • Guide clients towards solutions that leverage Oracle base system functionality and best practices in the industry
  • Guide and facilitate system configuration
  • Actively engage and maintain a collaborative working relationship with the clients business team to ensure alignment of the solution to their business challenges and long-term goals
  • Work closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery
  • Be responsible for ensuring that a quality, integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client's satisfaction
  • Communicate release details, schedules, and status to the project team and customer stakeholders as required
  • Support the Oracle management team on escalation management
  • Document and train the operations staff for the ongoing maintenance of all environments
Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)

New York City Pay Range: from $90,600 to $182,400 per annum; eligible for bonus and equity.

Colorado Pay Range: from $90,600 to $172,800 per annum; eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracles differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
