Description Of Duties:

• Work under the direct supervisor of a Project Manager
• Determines gravity loads
• Performs basic calculations for gravity system calculations for floors, walls, and foundations
• Performs basic calculations for lateral system calculations for shear walls, hold downs, and foundations
• Performs basic calculations for wood/steel and wood ledger design
• Determines seismic loads for non-structural elements per ASCE-7
• Determines components and cladding wind loads for elements per ASCE-7
• Performs column base plate designs
• Details redlines for review
• Use various structural software programs in performing calculations
• Prepares bolt, nail, lag bolt and shot pin designs
• Maintains project files and documentation

Experience

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering field required
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
• Obtain EIT certification
