Position Description:

The Maxim at Home Territory Relationship Manager is responsible for the overall development and execution of the business strategy for a specific geographic area while being held accountable to federal, state, local programs and contracts, applicable accrediting bodies and Maxim requirements.

The Territory Relationship Manager is responsible for analyzing opportunities and developing a customized business development strategy consistent with the focus and goals of the organization. The business development strategy should encompass developing relationships and educating a multitude of referral sources. These referral sources include, but are not limited to, financial and estate planning professionals, elder and estate attorneys, trust officers, geriatric and aging life care professionals, various healthcare facilities, area healthcare programs, senior centers and communities.

The Territory Relationship Manager manages with an entrepreneurial mindset and develops a strategy to increase the organization’s visibility within the community and with various trade associations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and executes a comprehensive business development strategy, which includes development of a business plan and identifying potential referral opportunities in assigned geographic area
  • Collaborates with the Director of Operations, Advisor and Marketing team to intimately understand our clients, customers, companions and referral sources in order to educate and answer questions regarding services
  • Spends majority of time, in-person, forging new relationships and expanding existing relationships with referral sources.
  • Engages in community activities and networking events that increase Maxim at Home visibility
  • Educates referral sources, clients, customers and the community on the services, features, and benefits of Maxim at Home
  • Develops a pursuit plan targeting a specified number of accounts per year outlined in annual business plan
  • Manages existing account relationships and acts as consultant to build relationship depth with current referral sources within assigned area
  • Analyzes needs of referral sources to create customized proposals
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to clients, customers and referral sources, especially in the context of troubleshooting and resolving conflicts
  • Collaborates with the National Director to understand and champion capabilities and attributes during business development appointments
  • Aligns business development strategy with National Directors’ business strategy and vision
  • Achieve budgeted financial targets of assigned area
  • Responsible for accurate completion of all required reports and activity tracking to achieve company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintains Maxim at Home account collaboration with clients, customers and referral sources in partnership with Advisor and Marketing team
  • Participates in Maxim at Home’s team daily zone meetings
  • Actively communicates business opportunities with leadership team and continuously seeks to improve business development processes Maintains an understanding of federal and state laws and healthcare reform affecting the organization’s business and educates customers and the team on the impact of these matters in the business
  • Accountable to federal, state, local programs and contracts, accrediting bodies and Maxim requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public Relations
  • Minimum of five years business development experience in healthcare preferred, or other relevant business development experience
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency and experience in public speaking
  • Ability to work creatively, independently, and be self-motivated
  • Frequent daily travel throughout the specific geographic area; overnight travel may be required (15% of time)
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to effectively elicit from and provide information to all team members, companions and clients using strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office
Compliance & Ethics Expectations:
  • Participates and successfully completes the company’s compliance program requirements and adheres to the Code of Conduct, Company policies, and applicable federal and state requirements
  • Sets an example for other employees regarding how the Company’s Code of Conduct and Compliance Program is applied and observed every day when dealing with customers, business operations, or other team members
  • Reports potential violations of company policy, Code of Conduct, and/or applicable laws and regulations to the company hotline, through the chain of command, to the Compliance and Ethics Department, or through other channels made available by the company for reporting potential violations
  • Promotes an environment in which other employees are encouraged to report potential violations
  • As appropriate, provides input and suggestions regarding areas in which policies, procedures, workflows, and/or controls can be improved to enhance compliance
