The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join the Maine Crisis Line Program.

The Maine Crisis Line (MCL) is the state's crisis telephone response service for individuals or families experiencing a behavioral health crisis or having thoughts of suicide and/or self-harm. Trained crisis call specialists answer the line and provide free and confidential telephone support and stabilization 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our main goal is to help you through whatever crisis you are in and support you through it. TOA has been providing telephonic crisis intervention since 1970 and our call specialists continue to work with callers - individuals, families, youth, elderly, veterans- to develop a strengths-based plan that focuses on the stabilization of the individual and/or family member. If the caller requires a face-to-face crisis assessment, call specialists warm transfer the caller to the appropriate District Mobile Crisis Response Organization (see districts to the right under Resources).

The Clinical Supervisor:

oversees the Crisis Call Specialists remotely by providing clinical support and assistance in the moment to address the various crisis calls and text/chat messages that are received
provides quality, in-the-moment and follow up clinical consultation and administrative support by providing leadership
support with assessing risk of clients, triaging needs of clients and ensuring appropriate referral and service delivery
reviews cases with staff and provides clinical guidance
acts as a clinical resource regarding mental health and substance use
works collaboratively with the Crisis Response Services in the state of Maine.

We are seeking an individual who has some crisis work experience who can think outside the box to find solutions to challenging scenarios. We are looking for a team player who is empathetic and can work independently and be flexible with schedule.

This is a 40 hour/week, salaried position. This is a remote position. Must be capable of coming to and from our Headquarters at 50 Lydia Lane, South Portland, Maine.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in social work or a related field required.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor preferred; Minimal of Clinical Conditional required.
MHRT-CSP certification or ability to achieve within 30 days of employment required.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and occasional overnights required.
1-3 years of supervisory experience in the field of Social Work, preferred.
Call Center experience preferred but not required - training will be provided.
Experience in clinical psychiatric assessment of patients and ability to document assessments in a concise and comprehensive manner acquired in internship or prior employment preferred.
Ability to make clinical decisions autonomously.
Must possess and be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
Special skill areas: technical literacy, comprehensive knowledge of DSM-V, excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated team effectiveness and consensus building.
Demonstrated computer proficiency.
Contracts that have Rider D: Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.
Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
Normal office conditions such as sitting, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and lifting up to 10 pounds.
Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings but is not a primary and essential job responsibility.

Pay is competitive and will be based on experience and education.
