This position works under the general guidance of the Project Director. It is a
fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment, and will be an excellent opportunity to apply your analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
The Business Analyst provides expertise in the formulation of systems' scopes and objectives. Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats. Additionally, the candidate for this position:
- Collects and performs analysis on moderately complex information from system users to formulate the
- scope and objectives of the system
- Prepares moderately complex flow charts, models, and procedures
- Conducts feasibility studies to design possible system solutions
- Conducts advanced form design and layout activities
- Prepares systems specifications
- Prepares and maintains technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing
- operation, maintenance, and development of systems
- Performs detailed analysis and systems designs
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
- May serve as a team or task lead
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Required:
- BA/BS or equivalent, 8+ years of experience. A Master's degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
- Prior work in an Agile environment, with related certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Fluxx preferred.
Successful applicants:

- Have excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics to management and other stakeholders
- Collaborate well with customers and internal cross-functional teams
- Work independently as well as interact regularly with government and non-government
- stakeholders at multiple levels of authority
- Use excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources
- Are self-motivated, well-organized, and strict attention to detail
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop
- alternative solutions; Critical thinking and creative problem solving
- Understand and manage customer expectations and software implementation methodology
- Prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same time, including the ability to plan,
- prioritize, and execute multiple initiatives/deadlines autonomously and shift priorities as necessary.
