Mechanical Engineer
The position sits in Carrollton, GA and company will help relocate.
The mechanical engineer will take a project from the conceptual stage through completion, factoring in budgetary and operational considerations. Performs initial and ongoing design reviews. Identifies process deficiencies and develops solutions to improve. Works with Sales and Operations to develop new prototypes; heavily involved in the quoting process of potential orders/inquiries.

Provide cost and lead time estimates as well as technical information for customers in the form of quotes and project proposals.
Translate the design information into manufacturing information in the form of routings via ERP, models and drawings via SolidWorks, and various niche software applications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications, and necessity of modification.
Provide manufacturing support, from small changes to part design to various projects like leading the design of automated process equipment.
Technical interface with maintenance and employees.
Translate needs into specific solution
Support the Engineering Department’s efforts to continuously improve processes.

Must Haves- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, mechanical preferred.
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). 4 years experience
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks, 2D & 3D Design. 3 years experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Handling proposals; performing quotes and pricing. 3 years experience
