We are seeking an Automation Tester to join our team and support our client in Rockville, MD. An ideal candidate should have a strong background in automation of functional, regression and smoke test cases for web and mobile applications. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, and maintain automated functional test cases and other test artifacts, including test data and data verification.
• Build automation framework and re-usable automation tests/test scripts using Selenium.
• Execute and evaluate manual and automated test cases and report test results.
• Perform setup, configuration, and maintenance of automated testing environments with a focus on continuous testing and DevOps processes.
• Analyze requirements and technical design documents for use cases/user stories, create test cases, and perform impact analysis on the existing framework.
• Analyze and resolve automation-related problems by coordinating with the team to diagnose and fix issues.

Work Experience

• Five (5) years of overall experience in Software Quality Assurance in functional, regression, system integration (SIT), user acceptance (UAT), graphical user interface (GUI), Usability, Section 508 compliance, security, and performance/stress testing, as well as data-validation, browser, and operating system (OS) compatibility testing.
• Three (3) years of experience in building automation framework and re-usable automation test scripts using Selenium.
• Experience in leading a QA process from manual to automation testing.
• Experience in developing test scripts and automation frameworks using Selenium.
• Experience in developing test scripts using Java.
• Experience with the Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Experience working within application development for federal sector projects is desirable.
• Experience in Section 508 testing.

Job Skills

• Knowledge of and demonstrated experience testing Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) web applications.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Design, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline required
• Master's Degree is preferred

Certificates, Licenses And Registrations

• Any related Certification on Automation Testing is desired
• Ability to obtain public trust clearance

Communication Skills

• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to write clear and concise test plan, test cases and related documents

Travel

• No Travel Requirements

Environmental Requirements

• Mainly sedentary; in an office environment. May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
• Flexible in working extended hours
