This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Greenwich Drive and remote.

DESCRIPTION

The Business Analyst reports to Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives and Performance Management and is responsible for analyzing data and preparing executive reports to summarize the performance of strategic business activities of the organization. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing aggregate data from multiple disparate data sources from within and external to the organization to monitor and report key operational, clinical and financial indicators that drive performance.

Daily work includes collecting and analyzing data and processes to support organizational leadership’s planning, management and decision making. The Business Analyst is detail oriented and intellectually curious, with strong analytical skills. This position contributes to the success of the organization by conducting objective analysis to identify the key drivers influencing the financial performance and business operations.

The Business Analyst will be knowledgeable of organizational projects and processes and will be able to identify potential practices that may be negatively impacting performance. The Business Analyst may provide support and education to clinical and administrative leadership within the organization.

Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple organizational projects concurrently, with competing timelines and follow-up of external and internal client requests is critical.

The successful incumbent is highly detail oriented and focused with a strong analytical or finance background. The incumbent will also work closely with health system and clinical practice administrative and executive leadership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training. Related experience: financial analysis, financial modeling. Strong research, analytical and critical thinking skills, detail oriented.

  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in science, business, management, or healthcare administration.

  • Basic accounting experience.

  • Prior experience in healthcare services.

  • Prior experience with large, complex healthcare organization.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to demonstrate advanced Excel skills building pivot tables, charts, graphs, macros, and complex formulas.

  • Demonstrated skills in conducting analysis and preparing financial models.

  • Advanced skills in database analytics.

  • Broad knowledge of healthcare industry dynamics and trends.

  • Ability to draft executive summaries and prepare presentation materials.
