  • If you are a current Welding College Student or have recently graduated with your Welding Certificate or Degree, this is the perfect opportunity for you to gain valuable industry Welding experience to help you grow as a Welder.
  • Weekend Hours: Our typical weekend shift runs Fri-Sun 5am 5:30pm.
  • Full-Time or Part-Time Fridays Sundays between the hours of 5am 5:30pm.
  • We are flexible and willing to work with your schedule!
  • DOE, our weekend shift also pays an additional *11.11% premium of your base hourly wage.
  • If you transfer from weekend shift, you will no longer be eligible for the premium rate.
  • Location: Bloomington, MN
  • This position lies out, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble structural forms according to job specifications.
  • The Welder selects equipment, plans layout, assembles, and welds while applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
  • � Assemble and weld cabinets, roof hatches, louvers, frames, tops, and bottoms per job specifications.
  • � May assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
  • � Assemble thin metal structures and large frame structures by use of a welder.
  • � May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.
  • � Move assembled product to next production area in order to complete finished product per job specification.
  • � Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
  • � Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • � Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
  • � Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
  • � Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • � Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
  • � Other duties as assigned.
  • � Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • � Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
  • � Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong teamwork.
  • � Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.
  • � Ability to read and understand a measuring tape.
  • � Knowledge of M.I.G and T.I.G. welding techniques.
  • � Basic ability to understand blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • � Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
  • � One year of applicable welding experience.
  • � Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
  • � Vocational certification or degree.
  • � Experience in a similar manufacturing setting.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works with moving machinery and occasionally in outside weather.
