RETAIL STORE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB DESCRIPTION
Retail Store Manager plays a critical role in helping us maintain our reputation as a leader in the floral/service industry. The Store Manager is responsible for maximizing store-level sales and profitability by developing and promoting a sales culture through monitoring and driving sales goals. The Store Manager acts as a role model and holds Associates accountable for meeting and exceeding customer service standards. The Store Manager will develop and maintain the store’s staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures all customers are being serviced correctly and given high priority
- Handle escalated customer complaints or issues
- Plan, Support and Execute all store holidays and events
- Work closely with the Gift Buyer and Creative director to plan and execute any needed adjustments to the floor or merchandise assortment
- Implement, review and improve all store policies, procedures and service standards.
- Create work schedules for the staff at Lovers
- MOD during the week, on weekend rotation, big holidays, and major weekends
- Create & Coordinate bonus, rewards and incentives
- Work with other departments concerning product or service issues
- Maintain up to date knowledge of POS
- Oversees the store’s inventories of supplies and products.
- Order product and supplies to keep store stocked
- Work closely and assist HR with New Hire Training
- Ensure all retail sales associates have the knowledge, skills and materials to answer customers’ inquiries, request of orders, and/or resolve problems quickly and effectively
- Monitor everyday production with the goal of improving efficiency and minimizing overtime.
- Follows the company engagement policy and provides coaching and feedback, including formal corrective action
- Conducts bi-monthly performance reviews and assists with yearly reviews.
- Holds monthly department meetings

- Strong knowledge of floral design
- Strong knowledge of plants, plant design, and/or horticulture

- Ensure all Retail Sales Associates have the knowledge, skills and materials to answer customers’ inquiries, request of orders, and/or resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Ensuring all customer are being serviced correctly and given high priority
- Prioritizes plans and adjusts schedules on a daily basis to meet business goals by ensuring staff coverage in all areas of the store(s).
- Meeting deadlines for assignments and projects
- Assesses performance and provides on-going feedback; completes and delivers performance appraisals and development plans on a semi-annual basis.
- Work with other departments concerning product or service issues
- Maintain up to date knowledge of POS
- Implement, review and improve all store policies, procedures and service standards
- Create a positive team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
