<p>The Accounting team works within the Finance team to deliver financial transparency and support the strategic decision making process. In effort to deliver this, the Accounting team processes all financial transactions to produce timely and accurate Financial Statements while ensuring that the company is compliant with all applicable regulations including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Domestic and International Tax agencies, and other relevant ad hoc statutory directives. Additionally, the Accounting team supports the internal team at Reforge to ensure that cross functional processes are clear and efficient and financial results are timely and transparent to the appropriate audiences.</p>
<p>The Revenue Accounting and Operations Manager role will support the company by providing insightful financial data to support business strategy and growth. This role will manage all Financial aspects of the order-to-cash cycle and revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP. In addition to supporting the production of accurate and timely financial statements, this is a hands-on role which requires the performance of transaction processing including accounts receivable monitoring and reporting, revenue recognition, deferred revenue amortization, and related balance sheet reconciliations. This role will improve upon current manual processes as well as perform in a leadership role for all future system upgrades and implementations. This individual will also be responsible for building the appropriate team to support department initiatives. Additionally, this role will co-lead the audit fieldwork as it relates to revenue and accounts receivable and support an efficient year-end audit.</p>
<p>You'll be joining as part of the foundational team of a profitable proven startup. <h3>WHAT YOU'LL OWN</h3>
<ul>
<li>Own the revenue recognition process and ensure compliance with ASC 606.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Work cross-functionally with Operations team to develop scalable billing and comprehensive order-to-cash processes and drive new system initiatives and improvements.</li>
<li>Partner with Operations team to support Enterprise account management and non-standard complex billing arrangements.</li>
<li>Own the reconciliation and aging of all Accounts Receivables including the preparation of AR reports to support the collections practices.</li>
<li>Perform all aspects of month end revenue close including posting journal entries for revenue, contra revenue, and deferred revenue amortization and preparation of related balance sheet reconciliation schedules.</li>
<li>Lead the Revenue recognition portion of annual audit including maintaining revenue walkthroughs and the presentation of supporting worksheets.</li>
<li>Hire, coach, and mentor a high performing team.</li>

<h3>SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR</h3>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of combined experience in a corporate revenue accounting role</li>
<li>Understanding of and experience applying revenue accounting rules under ASC 606</li>
<li>Experience designing, implementing, and documenting billing processes and controls</li>
<li>Experience designing and implementing general ledger/ERP systems and procedures</li>
<li>Proven ability to improve manual accounting processes and increase team efficiencies</li>
<li>Proficient in MS Office Suite, with intermediate/advanced Excel</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with other general ME close activities and account reconciliations</li>
<li>Exposure to ERP implementations</li>
<li>Experience working with or at Big 4 accounting firms</li>
<li>Active CPA license preferred</li>
<li>Experience with Stripe transaction processing data preferred</li>
