Actalent is hiring a fully remote Model Based Systems Engineer for a large Aerospace/DoD company located in Syracuse, NY. Position offers full time benefits, paid vacation, paid holidays, and OT pay. Qualifications:
- 8+ years working as a MBSE
- Mission Systems Development for (Avionics, EW, Radar, or COMMS)
- Experience with Modeling/Model Based Systems Engineering (Rhapsody/Cameo)
- Requirements utilizing DOORS
Job Duties:
- Actalent is looking for MBSE to join our team. The Systems Engineers will be supporting systems design and integration activities for various platforms.
- Activities and responsibilities will include interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines, supporting requirements definition and decomposition, developing requirement specifications
- Will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Able to integrate software and hardware, validate and verify software changes, and perform system updates. Will be hands-on with lab systems and tactical radar systems.
- As a Systems Engineer, the candidate must be able to work on a small team of engineers.
- Will be responsible for developing cockpit systems for avionics platforms.
- This will include assisting with the development of avionics architectures based on our hardware and software product lines and integrating mission system functionality for cockpit controls and displays.
- Will be utilizing digital transformation principles, including system modelling and simulation.
- Program is utilizing agile development processes for defining requirements and developing system capabilities.
