About
the Role:
As the
Store Manager your role will be creating a ‘unique Italian welcoming
environment’ full of warmth and friendliness to our customers visiting our
boutiques. We pride ourselves in sourcing only the best ingredients, producing
authentic recipes and presenting a premium product offer to our customers, its
therefore paramount that we deliver this with a premium service experience,
that’s both high quality and genuine, enabling us to create loyal customers
that will want to return repeatedly.
The Store
Manager will be accountable and responsible for the success of the store,
leading a team to achieve their potential, while running a profitable business
and being a role model. The Store Manager needs to be a strong leader with good
personality, detailed, organized, and motivated to drive the brand. This is a
very direct role.
What you’ll
do:
Core
duties and responsibilities include the following.
- Ensures
the service our customers receive is engaging and develops loyalty - Makes sure
all the team brings alive our company values sharing our story and purpose with
the customers: Tradition, Happiness, and Balance - Constantly
reviews customer service levels and products quality & presentation; MBWA
(managing by walking around) - Overviews
any customer issues in the shop and be able to resolve them - Reviews
customer comments and act on them - Coaches the
team to see the store through customers eyes - Seeks
feedback from customers, line managers and peers, around the level of service,
shop presentation and product and act of it - Overviews
all the business operation, deals with and manages any issue and/or bottleneck - Performs
other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains according to the business needs
- Has planned and well-structured follow ups and
coaching sessions with all team members - Makes sure all the team’s knowledge and
practices are always up to date - Helps team members build their own development
plans - Rewards and recognizes the team when they do an
excellent job - Acts on HR issues before they escalate
- Leads by example and “firsthand”
- Coaches the team and gives them feedback on the
spot
Act Like the Owner:
- Takes ownership of the P&L reaching their KPIs
- Reaches productivity targets by managing and effectively
planning the schedule while driving sales - Takes ownership of stock control through
accurate ordering, follows-up on orders & received procedures, stock counts
and minimizes waste in the shop - Creates a business plan to maximize every
opportunity - Keeps track of competitors’ initiatives,
trading performances, opening hours and develop a plan to counter their impact - Is “the gatekeeper” of knowledge, safety, policies,
and standards. - Benchmarks regularly against similar and high
performing stores to identify opportunities - Builds a network with other Store Managers
- Ensures standards and procedures are met
through a successful Store Operational Audit - Keeps all equipment well maintained and reports
any issues
Our
Perfect Candidate
Education and Experience:
- High
school diploma required - Associate’s
or bachelor’s welcomed, but not required - 1
to 2 years of experience as a Store Manager - Experienced
in running a fast-paced retail sales and customer service environment - Working
experience in the food industry is preferred - Enthusiastic
about chocolate and gelato - Flexibility
in work schedule is required including the ability to work
extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed - Comfortable
working evenings and weekends, which is when we are at our busiest - Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful, but not required
Required Abilities and Skills:
- Capable of efficiently leading and managing a team
- Exceptional leadership skills including coaching, motivating, and
empowering team members - Ability to foster change, spark innovation and implement
strategies - Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems
- Expertise in analysis, critical decision making, and process
improvement - Flexibility to lead and thrive in a challenging and changing
environment - Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Capable of managing the “big picture” while paying diligence

- Annual salary range between $65k to $75k will
