Position Purpose
The Health Informatics Data Analyst implements and optimizes data analytics, reporting and data visualization tools to support the Clinical, Quality, Prevention and Social Services operations of Vivent Health. As such, the Health Informatics Data Analyst understands the data landscape at Vivent Health and marries this knowledge with stakeholder and business requirements to provide accurate, insightful, and actionable information, and by doing so, directly supports the holistic patient-centric care model at Vivent Health.
NOTE: This role could be located in Wisconsin (various locations), Denver, St. Louis or Austin!

Scope of Responsibilities
Vivent Health is one of the nation’s largest providers of HIV prevention, care and treatment services with a budget approaching $225 million and employing over 450 professionals.
The unique, nationally recognized Vivent Health HIV Medical home model of care assures that everyone with HIV has access to medical, dental, mental health and social services and provides the best opportunity for patients to achieve high quality health outcomes. Vivent Health also provides aggressive HIV prevention services to gay men, injection drug users and others at the highest risk for HIV infection.

Essential Functions
At a high level, the Health Informatics Data Analyst transforms data into knowledge. To do this requires organizing and managing large and varied datasets from disparate sources, analyzing these datasets to optimize operations, and communicating findings using data visualization and reporting techniques to stakeholders and organizational leadership. Essential functions and duties include:
- Compiling, organizing, and integrating healthcare data from disparate sources, including an enterprise electronic health record (Epic Systems) and an HIV care management application (Provide Enterprise).
- Understanding, configuring, and managing the tools and processes for data extraction and transformation.
- Partnering with internal stakeholders, business partners and vendors to gather requirements, understand technical capabilities, and identify solutions.
- Understanding data storage and data sharing methods.
- Developing reports and presentations.
- Validating solutions prior to production deployment.
- Communicating analytic insights to clinical and operational stakeholders and leaders in an accessible and clear manner.
- Supporting solutions following Production deployment, to include utilizing feedback and experiential information to optimize delivered solutions.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare, Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of database structures and design.
- Proficiency with one or more database programming and scripting languages such as SQL, R, Python.
- Experience with one or more Analytics and Business Intelligence platforms, such as Tableau, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, or Power BI.
Additional Preferred Experience
- 5+ years’ of progressively responsible health informatics and technology experience.
- 3+ years of clinical data management experience.
- Knowledge of Extract, Transform and Load frameworks, such as Alteryx or Talent.
- A working knowledge of SQL queries.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Expert level of Epic Systems applications, such as Ambulatory, MyChart, Wisdom, Cadence, with certifications preferred.
- HIT certification such as CPHIMS.
- Knowledge and experience with Epic Systems electronic health record data structures and reporting tools, such as Cogito, Clarity, and Caboodle, including EPIC certification.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
