Our client is actively seeking a talented Software Engineer (Dashboard Developer) to work with a team located in Greensboro, NC. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility for extension.  

A consultant local to Greensboro with the ability to come into the office on hybrid work schedule is preferred but will consider consultant working 100% remote.

Job Overview:

As a Software Engineer (Dashboard Developer), you will be tasked with performing development activities for our connected data analytics experience. You will be part of a cohesive team closely collaborating with stakeholders, teammates, and management in our different business areas, and with their inputs, make recommendations based on best practices. In this role you will collaborate and work with other global teams and external parties with a One Community mindset.

As a Software Engineer (Dashboard Developer) you will convert business requirements into analytics and visualizations.  You will be expected to understand and work within a cloud environment with tool that manage analyses, data, data aggregations, and data connectors.  This requires comfort in cloud tools, and the ability to learn quickly technical tools to deliver the experiences.  This also requires exceptional communication skills as you will be working in a social environment which requires the capability to build and maintain strong relationships.

We are on a Digital Transformation journey moving from a traditional project management model to a Scaled Agile Framework for the Enterprise (SAFe).  In the SAFe model the System Engineer (Dashboard Developer) will participate in the Scrum team to bring requirements to technical solution with business value in mind.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop visualizations and analyses into a technical solution from business requirements
  • Extract needed data and aggregations from data repositories
  • Contribute technical knowledge to Scrum team and Stakeholders to secure business value
  • Change Management to lifecycle multiple dashboards through multiple environments, ie Dev, QA, Production
  • Create test cases and support testing both automated or manual

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer (Dashboard Developer) or related technology experience building or creating technical solutions for a large enterprise and/or consulting experience.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements into detailed design and visualizations.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship building skills combined with high energy and desire to “get things done.”
  • Experience and capability of working in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive toward solutions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Agile
  • Scrum
  • SAFe
  • Knowledge of SQL in one or more databases; ie SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
  • Knowledge of AWS QuickSight, QlikView, Qlik Sense, PowerBI

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $51 - $56 per hour.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
