We are currently looking for a Data Integration Business Analyst to join our team remotely.

About the role:
The Data Integration Business Analyst job functions to deliver key design, functional and business requirements from idea to reality

The role appropriately coordinates and facilitates problem solving with clinical, operations, finance, and developers to build data extracts

Additionally, the Business Analyst is responsible for managing small to medium size projects for assigned teams, or work with assigned Project Manager on successful delivery of larger enterprise projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate key business, workflow, and technical requirements for all data extract builds and other projects for assigned team
  • Manage communication with key stakeholders regarding business, workflow, technical requirements, and delivery timelines for extract builds and other projects
  • Assist operations teams with understanding data extract costs, services, and processes
  • Gain an understanding of clinical workflows in Epic to ensure that current documentation and available data supports extract requirements
  • Facilitate refinement of requests with assigned team and larger cross-functional group of project stakeholders
  • Assist team with necessary data analysis; perform data analysis and/or validate data analysis findings against requests, and communicate discrepancies, constraints and risks
  • Partner with IT-GRC to ensure all data extracts are compliant with HIPAA and Premise Health policies and standards
  • Own the progress and success of projects; create/maintain feedback loops with stakeholders
  • Remove blockers for assigned team and larger cross-functional stakeholder group
  • Work with team manager to understand and communicate team vision, priorities, and backlog
  • Create and maintain project/initiative status and progress reporting processes for stakeholders and leadership
  • Create and maintain team health/progress reporting processes for leadership
  • Facilitate team sessions and Agile ceremonies (standup, refinement, planning, demo and retrospective)
  • Coach assigned teams on Agile values and principles
  • Coach assigned teams towards meaningful application of Agile frameworks


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s in engineering, computer science, business or other related field preferred
  • 2-3 years performing duties of Business Analyst
  • 2-3 years Healthcare IT industry
  • 2-3 years project management experience
  • 2-3 years working in an agile framework
  • 2-3 years leading agile/kanban development teams
  • 2-3 years of Microsoft SQL experience


Preferred Experience:
  • You have proficient understanding of Microsoft SQL
  • You consistently produce high quality documentation
  • You have the ability to analyze data and discover data issues/patterns
  • You have the ability to break down complex ideas and concepts into manageable tasks
  • You have a deep understanding of Agile values and principles, or willingness to learn
  • You have experience leading teams with multiple stakeholders and helping coordinate efforts to achieve a common goal
  • You have proven ability to work in team oriented and collaborative environment
  • You have the ability to facilitate team interactions and bring others to consensus
  • You are flexible, can think on your feet and are willing to do what is needed to get the job done
  • You are able to make difficult decisions and own those decisions for the team
  • You are detailed oriented and very well organized even in a fast paced changing environment
  • You have excellent communication and organization skills
  • You excel at collaborating with other department or stakeholders to define the best business solution
  • You have experience managing projects
  • You have experienced working with virtual team members successfully
  • Proficiency/Certification in Epic Clarity or EpicCare Ambulatory/Inpatient a plus

Compensation is between $77,000 to $82,000 annually

Benefits offered to part-time team members include 401K, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and annual CEU/CME allowance
