ABOUT THE TEAM
Reporting to the VP Talent Management, this position is responsible for the strategic oversite, direction, and execution of a global learning and development department for a changing and growing company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Director, Learning and Development will create and execute training programs for employee and leader development that incorporate modern and engaging learning techniques that are aligned with business goals. The successful candidate must be comfortable working at all levels of the organization including C-Suite level. This role requires someone with experience setting up, transforming, or overseeing a changing learning and development team with responsibilities that include identifying learning needs, defining and delivering on projects, partnering with third party vendors, and the designing and development of learning programs and materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A demonstrated thought leader, bringing innovate learning solutions from internal and external networks.
Provide direction and guidance on strategic vision for global learning and development programs
Proactively use technology, industry best practices, and alternative learning methods to build and evolve learning and development activities.
Manage learning and development department including planning, budgeting, communication, and administration.
Assess learning and development programs and solutions, ensuring continuous improvement and relevance to the needs of the changing business.
Monitor and report upon evaluation metrics of L&D programs
Partner with leadership and HR to support talent efforts that support business strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Adult Education, Human Resources, Business, Organizational Design, or related field required.
Master's degree in Adult Education, Human Resources, Business, Organizational Design, or related field required strongly preferred.
10+ years of experience in learning and development, organizational development, human resources or related field
Previous experience leading a learning and development organization
SPHR or PHR certification strongly preferred
DDI and Korn Ferry certification preferred
Certification in various assessments (DISC, Birkman, Hogan, MBTI, Emotional Intelligence) preferred
