*Job Description - Service Provider SD-WAN/SASE Account Executive*.Why will you enjoy this new opportunity?* Be a part of our Service Provider and Edge Business Unit (SEBU), which creates a competitive advantage for VMware dramatically simplify the WAN by delivering virtualized services and security from the cloud to branch offices and mobile users everywhere.

The Communication Service Providers (CSPs) have an imperative to Modernize their Networks while Monetizing the Services that run on top of their Networks. The SEBU will be able to serve the CSPs by enabling both the modernization and monetization, while continuing to create demand for overlay services by selling them to the Enterprise. The markets we serve of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), and Service Providers are growing rapidly in mid double digits by themselves, but there are opportunities for faster growth and differentiation in the emerging areas of Assurance, 5G (Slicing & Private), Edge Compute and WFH on 5G that leverage the integration of the overlay services from VMware SD-WAN with the network modernization from the CSP business.

In serving these markets, we rely on close collaboration with the other BUs while keeping to our unique combination of a focused vertical orientation with a robust horizontal business. If you are motivated, results-driven, and enjoy working in an environment that fosters learning and continuous growth, we would like to meet you Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?* Establishing rapport, credibility, and relationships with your partners will be essential in driving success as a sales Account Executive at VMware. + The primary objective of this position is to hit an annual revenue target of and profitability target of your specific accounts + Within 30 days of employment, you will have effectively conceptualized how our product portfolio can drive business value + You will work closely with the VMware core sales team and your solutions engineering counterparts - bringing ideas, customer perspective, and a sales plan will be necessary to create the most synergy and collaboration with your VMware counterparts + Within 90 days of employment, you will be regularly meeting with your partners to discover how our technology solution can help them achieve their business goals + Within 120 days of employment, you will either have closed an opportunity with a partner and/or will be generating an active customer pipeline of future business + Within 180 days of employment, you will be consistently scheduling, planning, and joining weekly and bi-weekly partner calls to help them grow their SD-WAN and SASE business + Within 360 days along with the above, you will have successfully sold multiple deals and attained the quota goal that was established for your territory.

The Work: What type of work, assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?* Your regular activities will vary on a day-to-day basis, but you can expect a variety of the following assignments: + You are responsible for selling the SD-WAN product portfolio across your assigned territory into CSP and MSP accounts + Participate in the development, presentation, and sales of the SD-WAN and SASE value proposition to ensure complete coverage of the solution portfolio + Drive the account sales strategy for the SD-WAN/SASE portfolio and establish a weekly/bi-weekly cadence with partner prospects as well as existing partner accounts + Managing transactions through the entire sales cycle, from early prospecting to forecasting, contract negotiation and opportunity closure + Provide ongoing operational support, sales enablement and forecasting with your partners to ensure their success + Collaborate with SEs, SAs, Product Management, Marketing, Program Management, Engineering, Development teams and Support to successfully move each partner opportunity through the evaluation process as well as proof of concepts for their customers + Take the lead on requests for proposals (RFPs) as well as requests for information (RFIs) for new service provider partners and end user opportunities (partnering with the field in some cases) + Negotiate with partners on pricing and timelines - navigating objections, partnering with the Deal Management Team (DMT), communicating with procurement/fulfillment, and overcoming any potential roadblocks that hinder customer adoption of VMware SD-WAN/SASE solutions.What is the leadership like for this role?
